Forcing Spring

Don't get me wrong, I love winter. I was outside today admiring my Natchez crepe myrtles. Their trunks and branches have peeled to a deep, almost electric cinnamon color, far more beautiful than in spring or summer bloom. The holly are covered in fat red berries, and my winter blooming camellias are about to open. All these winter delights have me longing for the same inside my home. Luckily, I have stumbled upon Areo Home, a Laguna Beach, California store and online shopping venue. I have just ordered several of their forcing vases, and plan to place them in my kitchen and on my desk for "a little spring" in January.
