Embracing Egypt...a valentine

A charismatic enigma, Egypt is an ancient country that has just jumped feet first, so to speak, into the fountain of youth...there will be growing pains...

Let us hope this re-born country, that is the land bridge between Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, finds itself and continues to grow and flourish.

It is the land of deserts...

The White Desert

The Black Desert

The Crystal Desert

Egypt has some of the most beautiful beaches and bodies of water known to man.

The hotels are exotically beautiful with an aura of romance.

Examples of their rich culture and history are everywhere.

Home to approximately 85 million people, Egypt is the most populous country in the middle east.
There are many fascinating and unique cities, towns, and homes to be found there.

It's a country of contrasts...

colors...

and surprises...

Who knew?...

I've never been, but it's on my list.
Now, more than ever, I'm looking forward to visiting "new" old Egypt.

  1. First of all: thank you for visiting my blog, and leaving a comment!

I have to say, your blog is really nice and beautiful, this last post was very interesting; I actually visited Egypt many years ago, went on a month long trip backpacking; traveled by train, bus, camels, boats and so on...We went from Alexandria in the north to Luxor in the south. Wasn't too impressed with the mentality towards women, but beside that, a wonderful country, full of contrasts, colours and culture...

Wish you a nice weekend, I am following you too now, and have included you on my blogroll :)

    Hugs, Ingrid :)

  4. Let's hope the tourists continue to visit so that Egypt can move forward with people still able to earn a living that in turn helps support the growth of democracy.
