You said it, Lady. Some of these are mind-blowingly breathtaking. Like the first image. And the pink smear by what's-his-face. I'm going to have to go back and study the interiors more too. Oh to be able to afford big art... ALWAYS glad to see you have posted. Camille
I can never fathom why I love splodgy paintings, like the first image green one, quite as much as I do. Why, they are not really of anything, and yet, and yet...I just love them, when they are done well.
Fascinating post, and I have to agree, big is nearly always better when it comes to art. If you are going to do something, may as well do it largely!
Thank you for the well wishes, and I hope you have a glorious weekend too Kathy!
Hi Kathy FAB ! i love the irreverence of the 1st one and the HUGE pink one in the dreamy blue room great fun no point piddling about with titchy pictures Love fay xx
I agree! Safe decorating is just way too worried about what other people think versus surrounding yourself with what YOU love. Great images all the way around. All decorating should be fearless. Best, liz
so agree with proposition of "playing big." great to see a canvass with a bold take on life, but the bold notion of even the little guy can have a place in this world with the right attitude just rings true to me. another great one, K!
I love comments! Thank you for taking the time to do so. Unfortunately, I have been getting bulk spam, so I have enabled word verification (temporarily I hope) to try and put a stop to it. Thank you for understanding! k
Oh MY! I love that first painting so much - words cannot express.
ReplyDeleteI love big art.
ReplyDeleteI have that first image in one of my "favorites" files. I love the green painting, the settee, the pink tuffet and the pillow. It's all wonderful.
I adore the Jeff Koons Puppy vase with the Tulips and I want that Eagle Painting :).
ReplyDeleteLoves...all of it.

ReplyDeleteWow...love the over sized art! What a statement in a room.
ReplyDeleteYes, the bigger the better. Love big art instead of grouping of small pieces. These pictures are amazing
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm definitely going big! Now, how does one do that in a typical NYC apartment???
ReplyDeleteMore inspiration that puts my head in a spin! We have a huge pice of art that dominates our small condo. It is the first thing you notice!
